If you are seeking to present your project to major European and international commissioning editors in one-on-one meetings, in a friendly and privileged setting, then apply to the Eurodoc Pitch!
Pitch and win an entry at EURODOC 2017!
For a third year in a row, Doc Circuit Montréal joins forces with the renown training program EURODOC. This collaboration offers a Quebec producer the opportunity to participate in the program, otherwise strictly accessible to European producers only, and to present their film or transmedia project to the international market. Following a call for projects, five finalists will be selected to participate in a public pitch session at DCM. On Wednesday November 16th 2016, participants will present their pitch in front of a jury of EURODOC representatives and European broadcasters and producers.
The producer of the winning pitch will receive a travel grant and will be invited to participate in three one week training modules over a period of eight months. Every three months, a training session will take place in the form of a residential workshop in a different European country. EURODOC will defray 60% of the costs associated with the registration and travel for the program. The grant will cover other expenses linked to the program.
The first training module, in March, will look at the devlopment of a solid and coherent documentary feature project. The second module will look into financing, packaging, and coproduction. Participants will make a trailer and will have the opportunity to meet with a pitching consultant. Finally, during the last module, the participating producers will present their projects to the guest decision makers. EURODOC’s methodology consists of team work, individual meetings, plenary sessions, and case studies.
The EURODOC pitch takes place during Doc Circuit Montréal, November 12-16 2016.
