Shortform & Online: The New Visual Journalism

Activities and Events

Online, traditional barriers become blurred: longform investigative journalism transforms into an embedded short. A documentary feature, too, can spawn smaller derivatives, thereby reaching wider audiences. Alongside the well-known news platforms, independent platforms for nonfiction innovation have been gaining traction. Seeking online content and competent new contributors, many have come to Montreal to present their vision for the year ahead, short-form or episodic. Delegates attending the panel will be given an option to book One-on-One meetings with the speakers, according to availability.
