Retrospective: Animating Reality

A Liar's Autobiography - The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman Bill Jones, Jeff Simpson, Ben Timlett

Film index A to Z

Présenté en 3D - 3D Presentation

Before Graham Chapman died in 1989, he took the time to write and record his imaginary autobiography. Accompanied by performances by his old colleagues, Chapman’s voice guides us through hallucinatory animated sequences that revisit the twists and turns in the incredible life of a gay, pipe-smoking, alcoholic dandy who, quite by accident, became a famous comedian.

Presented in collaboration with the Sommets du cinéma d'animation, the Cinémathèque québécoise, the Département d'histoire de l'art et d'études cinématographiques de l'Université de Montréal and the Observatoire du cinéma au Québec
