RIDM Special 20th

Antoine Laura Bari

Film index A to Z

Antoine is six years old and lives in Montreal. He goes to school, plays ball, detective and dress-up, draws and skates. He laughs with his friends, cries when he’s sad and yells when he’s mad – he’s just like any child his age. He is also learning to read and write in Braille, and to use an adapted computer. Antoine is blind, a lucid and confident boy who stands as proof that a handicap can become an asset. A first film that heralded the engaged, intimate, poetic filmmaking of Laura Bari.

Presented in collaboration with Canal D and the Cinéma sous les étoiles de Funambules Médias
