While the Green Grass Grows Peter Mettler

The cycle of life, death, and renewal is at the heart of two chapters in the seven-part series of an ongoing project by Peter Mettler, While the Green Grass Grows. Intricately woven from a visual diary started in 2019, this multilayered, epic, and intimate cinematic exploration centers mostly around the filmmaker’s personal experience of losing his mother and then his father during the pandemic. Mettler’s meditative approach and sensitive camera searches, remembers, and creates a generous space to expose the fragility and profound nature of relationships, where reflections about the human condition and our environment follow one another in a stream of consciousness. (ME)

Peter Mettler will also be offering a masterclass on November 19th.
