Forum RIDM is launching a call for participation to Quebec producers interested in co-producing with Bavaria. The selected will be invited to participate in the professional activities of DOK.forum, from May 1-5, 2024, in the city of Munich.

This call, carried out in partnership with DOK.forum, the professional market of the DOK.fest München documentary festival in Bavaria (Germany), aims to promote professional and creative development between Quebecois and Bavarian producers, as well as to encourage cultural exchanges with accredited professionals at the market. 

This initiative is part of the Quebec-Bavaria cooperation and is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Quebec government. 

If you are interested in co-producing with the Bavarian region, this is the ideal opportunity to discover projects, establish new relationships, and foster partnerships.

DOK.forum Marketplace
Co-creation and co-production market for documentary projects in development. The producer will have the opportunity to attend Marketplace pitch sessions and actively engage in discussions and feedback together with a large selection of international experts, including festival programmers, international broadcasters, sales agents, etc and other important players in the documentary industry.

Dates and activities
DOK.forum will take place from May 1-7, 2024.The main activities for the selected producer will take place between May 1 to 5 .The selected  will be invited to participate as an expert in DOK.forum Marketplace, and will have access to :

• All pitch sessions except DOK.talent and the roundtables.

• All DOK.forum Perspectives Industry Talks.

• The DOK.forum Marketplace Award ceremony

• The producer will be participating also on the One-to-One Meetings in quality of expert, to meet potential projects to co-produce with.

If you are a producer residing in Quebec, send your application until April 1st 11:59PM to forum@ridm.ca by compiling the following elements into a single PDF file:

• CV

• Short biography

• Name and history of the production company

• Title and synopsis of your current or future projects that could be of interest for collaboration in coproduction.

• Brief statement of intent specifying:

• whether you have already received support from the RIDM Forum for any of your projects? If yes, through which program?

• what is your motivation for participating in the international coproduction market at the DOK.Fest München?
