The RIDM is proud to launch its youth program’s fourth webdocumentary workshop. This project aims to encourage young people to learn how to produce an interactive documentary. During the workshops, young people will have the opportunity to learn about the different professions involved in the production of audiovisual content.
Since February 22, around 40 students from the Eureka high school have been actively involved in the creation of a webdocumentary. Under the leadership of director Émilie Beaulieu-Guérette, the students are also benefitting from the advice and expertise of the Kngfu team, a multi-platform content production agency.
More than a discovery of the world of documentary, this initiation invites students to position themselves as young adults, to question assumptions and to explore their neighbourhood. The RIDM team is thrilled to be a part of this project, which is getting more and more young people interested in documentaries.
We hope they enjoy making their webdoc. We’re already looking forward to seeing the results, to be presented this fall. Meanwhile, discover the projects from the initiative’s first three years: Sans cell, trop cruel , Intersections and Futur pas sûr.
