Focus on Co-production

International co-production has emerged as an essential option for documentary filmmakers. Collateral agreements between Telefilm Canada and more than 60 countries, the 2017 agreement with Eurimages and the openness of documentary artists to international markets all demonstrate our interest in collaborating both financially and culturally with production companies around the world. Opportunities to meet and learn from international producers abound on all three days of Doc Circuit Montre?al, with the aim of promoting networking, collaboration and co-production.

QC+BY DOC COPROD | Doc Circuit Montre?al is pleased to announce a two-year agreement with DOK.fest Munich that will support three producers from Quebec and three from Bavaria as they develop and fund their documentary and digital projects in co- production. The producers will visit DCM and DOK.fest over the two years, guided in their work by mentors and co-production experts.

This event is made possible through the investment of the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications within the framework of the Coopération Quebec-Bavière, as well as the Representation of the State of Bavaria, Quebec office.
