Because images are sometimes useless, sounds have a shape of their own and it’s important to listen carefully, the Soirées d’Écoute Publique (ecoutemtl.ca) and CHOQ.ca invite you once again to discover the best in creative audio and radio with this image-free session that speaks to you deeply; it is an audio immersion in the intimate. This twin bill presents the three short pieces that won the 2019 edition of the Le Réel à l’écoute competition: Welcome to Canada of Jean-Baptiste Demouy, Novembre of Laurence Dompierre-Major and Les fantômes of Joutel de Danie Royer, followed by the medium-length work De rue et d’amour.
