Presented by Netflix, the sixth edition of Forum RIDM Talent Lab brings together emerging and mid-career artistic talent for three days of customized conferences and exploratory workshops, moderated by a selection of RIDM filmmakers and experts.
Guided by six industry professionals, the participants are encouraged to reflect on their projects and artistic practices, receiving practical advice to attend the industry forum ready to network. Various panelists impart creative and professional know-how to help them launch their careers.
Certain participants from outside Montreal and Quebec will also receive support from the Peter-Wintonick Travel Grant, thanks to the generous contributions of the Canadian documentary community.
The first two days will be devoted to workshops and lectures, after which Talent Lab participants will join the rest of the professionals attending Forum RIDM on November 18.
For the fifth year in a row, Canal D will offer a $10,000 grant (in the form of a development contract) to the makers of one of the Canadian French-language projects within the Talent Lab 2019 cohort.

For a first edition, CineGround will generously offer services in post-production for a value of 5 000$ to a canadian or Quebec-based Talent Lab participant.
