Territoires des Amériques is an immersive fulldome film inspired by the career of multidisciplinary artist René Derouin.
Presented as a sort of virtual travelogue, the film reveals the close connections between Derouin’s artistic process and his quest for identity. Footage shot in 360° retraces the key places on his journey from Quebec to Mexico, with graphic animations taking the audience to the heart of his most significant works.
Territoires des Amériques is directed by Patrick Bossé and produced by Figure 55’s Pascal Pelletier, with the financial support of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts.
The immersive film will be screened at the Society for Arts and Technology from November 2 to 27 by Hubblo, in collaboration with the RIDM.
