National Short and Medium-Length Competition

Landscape Suspended Naghmeh Abbasi

A police interrogation about video images of Shaho mountain, part of the Zagros Mountains range in Iran, triggers many questions and explanations about its meaning. This interrogation then becomes a pretext to share the history of this mountain and of its nomadic inhabitants, the Havar Neshins, and the significance of the images shown. Landscape Suspended observes Shaho mountain from near and far to create a visual essay on the historical weight and the current political stakes it represents despite itself.
