Redefining Intimacy - Nov 26 to Dec 2

Life of a Dog Danae Elon, Rosana Matecki

Films A to Z

Two mothers and their sons document their lives during the turmoil of lockdown in 2020. Extended isolation raises many questions for the two immigrant families. Worries for loved ones, calls to grandmothers, routines disrupted, memories of their birth country, loneliness, and puberty for a dash of unpredictability… Together, parents and children discuss and navigate these most unusual months, with the support of their dogs – loyal companions that help keep the people grounded in the present. In this sweet and meditative chronicle of private family moments, Danae Elon (P.S. Jerusalem) and Rosana Matecki (Los viejos) put their loved ones in front of the camera as a gateway to asking big questions, and answering them through the prism of moments that are mundane and yet so very precious. (Apolline Caron-Ottavi)
