RIDM 15 - 26 Nov. 2023

Rough Cut Lab

The Rough Cut Lab is an in-depth workshop in which a filmmaker and producer will be paired with a panel of internationally renowned experts. Filmmakers are invited to submit their project in an advanced editing stage (at least 65 minutes edited) to the Rough Cut Lab.

The selected project is screened in its entirety in the presence of the crew, panelists and the accredited public during the festival. The screening is followed by a discussion revolving around the issues of creative editing, festival strategy and marketing at this crucial stage in the life of a project. The panel includes festival programmers, distribution companies and experienced editors.
