Submission period: June 1 to 19, 2026
Rough Cut Pitch, Forum RIDM’s showcase for documentary projects in post-production, returns for a new edition taking place from November 23 to 25, 2026.
This year, the call is open to international, Quebec and Canadian projects and is open to feature-length, auteur-driven documentaries that demonstrate a strong artistic vision and intend to seek distribution in national and international markets. Projects still in production during the submission period are eligible. However, all applicants must be able to provide a 10-minute excerpt offering an overview of the work, and the project must be in the editing or advanced post-production stage by November 2026.
Selected teams (filmmakers and/or producers) will have the opportunity to present their project and screen an excerpt during a live pitch session before an audience of documentary industry professionals, including festival representatives, distributors, sales agents, broadcasters, and digital distribution platforms. Participants will also benefit from access to Forum RIDM’s professional activities, including Face-à-Face, Forum RIDM’s flagship networking activity.
Participating projects will be eligible for several cash and service awards.
