UXdoc : Where documentary meets new technologies

The Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM), in partnership with the Consulat général de France à Québec, with the support of l’Institut français and the collaboration of PHI and MUTEK, is pleased to announce the return of the UXdoc: Where documentary meets new technologies exhibition, presented as part of Novembre Numérique and the 28th edition of the festival.

Held at several iconic cultural venues in Montreal, such as the Foyer Luce Guilbeault of the Cinémathèque québécoise, the Music Studio of the Centre Pierre-Péladeau and the Exhibition Room at Place des Arts, this free exhibition brings together a selection of Quebec and international works to be discovered from November 21 to 30, 2025.

Between documentary and fiction, their directors use cutting-edge technologies to explore new forms of storytelling rooted in reality, at the crossroads of intimacity, memory, and ecology. Developed in collaboration with Myriam Achard (PHI), this edition’s program offers a sensitive and reflective exploration of our relationship with the contemporary world.
