WHAT ARE THE DATES AND FORMAT OF THE 2026 FORUM RIDM?
The 22nd edition of the RIDM Forum will take place from November 20 to 25, 2026, and will consist of two parts:

Doc Lab Montréal, from November 20–22, is a closed-door workshop reserved for professionals whose projects have been pre-selected.

Forum RIDM’s Industry Market, from November 23–25, offers a program of activities for holders of a Forum RIDM passport or accreditation. The program includes discussions, project pitches, one-on-one meetings, and networking receptions, among other events.
WHICH PASSPORT DO I NEED TO ATTEND THE FORUM RIDM EVENTS?
To attend Forum RIDM events, you must have one of the following three passes:

Forum RIDM student

RIDM + Forum RIDM

RIDM + Forum RIDM + Face-à-Face
Passes are on sale at the Forum RIDM box office.
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE TO HOLDERS OF A FORUM RIDM PASSPORT OR ACCREDITATION?
The Industry Market events will take place from November 23 to 25, 2026. Admission is subject to venue capacity. Some events require advance registration, are by invitation only, or are reserved for specific categories of professionals. Admission requirements are specified in the description of each event.
ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES TO PITCH MY DOCUMENTARY PROJECT AND MEET POTENTIAL COLLABORATORS?
Yes! There are several Forum RIDM activities available:

Doc Lab Montréal is aimed at emerging filmmakers and their producers who are developing an auteur documentary project. Selection takes place following a call for projects issued each spring.

Rough Cut Pitch is open to production teams working on creative feature-length documentaries that are in the editing or post-production phase. Selection is also based on a call for projects issued each spring.

Face-à-Face is a day of one-on-one meetings for Canadian producers and distributors of feature-length documentaries and documentary series. This event is reserved for holders of an RIDM + Forum RIDM + Face-à-Face passport, available at the box office from October 13 to November 13, 2026.

Networking events and Expert Tables also offer Forum RIDM passport holders opportunities to meet industry professionals. Details on how to register for the Expert Tables will be sent via email to Forum RIDM passport holders.
WHEN ARE THE DEADLINES FOR THE FORUM RIDM 2026 CALLS FOR PROJECTS?
For the 22nd edition, the calls for projects for Doc Lab Montréal and Rough Cut Pitch were launched in the spring of 2026. It is therefore no longer possible to submit a project for these events this year.
For Face-à-Face, no project application is required. Passports granting access to this event are on sale from October 13 to November 13, 2026, subject to availability.
DOES FORUM RIDM OFFER ANY GRANTS OR FINANCIAL SUPPORT?
If your project is selected for Doc Lab Montréal or the Rough Cut Pitch, you’ll be eligible to compete for several service and cash prizes offered by partner organizations.
For emerging filmmakers, Forum RIDM also issues an annual call for applications for the TaCIC Tremplin Territoires Grant.
