RIDM 20 - 30 Nov. 2025

Student Jury

To discover the best in documentary cinema and make your voice heard at a must-attend film festival, become one of our student jurors for the 28th edition of RIDM.

Being part of the student jury at the RIDM is a first-hand experience comparable to serving on a professional jury. You will be tasked with watching documentaries in competition, participating in deliberations, and presenting the Student Jury Prize at our official closing night. This gives you the opportunity to explore feature films from both the National Competition and the Magnus-Isacsson Competition. Throughout the process, members of our programming team will guide you and support you through the deliberations. Your participation will also grant you access to the festival’s opening and closing nights, as well as various evening activities at the Cinémathèque québécoise.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a college-level student;

  • Have a strong command of both spoken and written French and English;

  • Be available for screenings, deliberations, and the closing ceremony (you may contact your professors in advance to justify your absence);

  • Submit a short presentation text by email explaining your motivation to join the Student Jury.
