WHAT IS FORUM RIDM?

Organized as part of the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM), Forum RIDM is a leading event for documentary cinema in North America. Initiated by DOC Québec, it has been bringing documentary professionals together to reflect on and discuss the industry for 22 years.

Today, this Industry Market brings together more than 400 professionals from around 30 countries in a stimulating, supportive, and inclusive environment where documentary communities from Québec, across Canada, and around the world come together. Its diverse program includes mentorship sessions for emerging professionals, documentary project pitches, discussions on key industry issues, matchmaking activities, and numerous networking opportunities. Forum RIDM thus contributes to the development and distribution of documentary projects at various stages of production.

Forum RIDM also carries out activities throughout the year through collaborations with festivals and cultural organizations around the world. These partnerships aim to support the professional development of Québec’s documentary industry professionals in order to promote their international reach.
