At the same time, it’s a format made vulnerable by limited funding opportunities and often marginal modes of distribution. How can we approach short-form documentary creation on both artistic and production levels? What are the concrete challenges of funding and dissemination? What strategies are filmmakers and producers inventing to bring their short films to life and into the world? This discussion brings together creators from diverse backgrounds to explore the specificities, obstacles, and potential of the short documentary format.
