Docs-In-Progress | Canadian showcase at Cannes Docs 

The Cannes Docs section of the Cannes Film Market, as part of its ongoing commitment to encourage diversity and enrichment in its showcases, has made the decision not to include a Canadian showcase as part of its Docs-In-Progress activities for the 2024 edition. This decision is aimed at diversifying the perspectives and geographical origins of the projects presented, in order to reflect the multiplicity of documentary cinema worldwide. While Canadian presence has been regular and greatly appreciated in previous editions, annual participation was never guaranteed. However, this does not exclude the possibility of future Canadian showcases within Cannes Docs, which will continue to play an important role in promoting Canadian documentary cinema on the international stage. When the time comes, the RIDM Forum will be delighted to collaborate once again with Telefilm Canada to present the next Canadian showcase of Docs-In-Progress.
