McCord Stewart Museum
Take a trip back in time via Becoming Montreal: The 1800s Painted by Duncan at the McCord Stewart Museum. Chronicler of his time, artist James Duncan documented Montreal’s development from 1830 to 1880. His works offer viewers a unique journey into Montreal before photography.
The exhibition will take place from June 2, 2023 to April 21, 2024.

CINÉMATHÈQUE QUÉBÉCOISE
The Cinémathèque québécoise is Montreal’s museum of moving images. Its mission is to acquire, document and preserve the world’s audiovisual heritage, with an emphasis on Quebec and Canadian works as well as international animation, and to make it available for cultural and educational purposes.

Festival Regard
REGARD, Saguenay international short film Festival, is one of the leading short film festivals in North America. Founded in 1995 in Saguenay, it is the gateway to the Americas for short films and an international launching pad for Canadian cinema. Recognized by the Oscars and FIPRESCI, it presents an average of 150 films from over 50 countries and awards $100,000 in prizes and services. Since 2010, Cinéma sous les Étoiles organized by Funambules Médias has been offering an outdoor cinema program whose mission is to promote social, political and environmental documentary films, as well as to develop critical thinking through animated discussions about the works and the themes addressed.
International festival of films on art
The FIFA is dedicated to the international promotion and distribution of films on art and media arts, through an annual festival in March, an online streaming platform ARTS.FILM and a series of activities throughout the year. Its 42nd edition will take place from March 14 to 24, 2024.
Séquences
Since its foundation in 1955, the primary objective of the magazine Séquences has been to promote cinematographic culture among young people. It is in this spirit that the mandate of the magazine is characterized by a determination to support cinema above all as an artistic medium.
Festival TransAmeriques
The biggest performing arts festival in North America, FTA is a driving force for the promotion of contemporary theatre and dance. Featuring shows from all over the world, FTA mirrors political and social movements of our era, as echoed in striking and essential works of art. Its 18th edition will be held from May 22 to June 6, 2024.
Ciel variable

International Documentary Association
The International Documentary Association (IDA) supports the vital work of documentary storytellers and champions a thriving and inclusive documentary culture. IDA is a global community of documentary practitioners with members based in 76 countries. IDA provides $1M+ annually in grants to documentary filmmakers, organizes the bi-annual Getting Real conference, annual IDA Documentary Awards, SpringDocs and FallDocs screening series and publishes the Documentary magazine.
MOMENTA Biennale de l’image
MOMENTA Biennale de l’image is a contemporary art dissemination and mediation platform that operates year-round with ongoing activities. The organization stands out for the position it takes and the questions it asks on the place of the image in today’s societies.
