We are delighted to present you with the official poster for the 29th edition of RIDM, which will take place from November 19 to 29, 2026! 

For the 5th year in a row, Juliette Moal is the graphic designer that brings our visual identity to life! Inspired by the four previous editions, this year’s poster converges the elements that represent the visual universe of RIDM that we have grown to know and love!

Ever since 2022, geometric shapes with retro accents have been at the heart of the RIDM’s visual identity. This year, these elements take on greater depth and unfold into a new dimension that captures the essence of documentary filmmaking: through the selection of its own angle, distancing, and framing, each film captures and shapes reality, in turn creating a distinct lens through which we can observe and narrate the world.

Once again, Forum RIDM has entrusted the adaptation of its visual identity to graphic designer Kaïla Curcio-Tremblay. Conceived as a representation of the Forum as a space of exchange and reflection, the poster highlights its role as a venue that nurtures, brings together, and advances documentary filmmaking. Presented by the Canada Media Fund, the 22nd edition of Forum RIDM will take place from November 20 to 25, 2026.

To give a sneak peek of the 29th edition, the first five titles will be unveiled on Thursday, August 20. The complete program for both RIDM and Forum RIDM will be unveiled during a reception at the Cinémathèque québécoise on Wednesday, October 28, and announced online the same day.
