Doc Circuit Montreal is pleased to announce the return of its three most successful events: the Cuban Hat pitch, First pitch and the Producers lab ! 

 

CUBAN HAT PITCH

Doc Circuit Montreal is excited to present, in collaboration with Montreal based MAKILA coop, the Cuban Hat Pitch for its eighth consecutive year!

During DCM’s 14th edition, filmmakers with projects chosen by a committee of experts will be invited to pitch in front of the public and a panel of prestigious Cuban Hat jury members to win cash and services prizes. Filmmakers can submit their unfinished linear or interactive projects until July 5th!

 

IMPORTANT DATES

Call for submissions: July 12th to September 3rd.

Training dates: Saturday September 29th, Saturday October 13th and Friday November 9th.

Cuban Hat Pitch: November 12th.

FIRST PITCH

Doc Circuit Montreal is proud to continually support emerging talent in the documentary community. For its 8th edition, the First Pitch facilitates training, one-on-one pitching and networking between emerging filmmakers and established Quebec-based documentary film producers.

Premier Pitch activities take place at the Association des réalisateurs et réalisatrices du Québec (ARRQ).

PRODUCERS LAB PRESENTED BY THE BELL FUND

Doc Circuit Montreal is pleased to announce the second edition of the Producer’s Lab, presented by the Bell Fund.

This year, the day-long lab will focus on professional development and the durability of the documentary film producer profession in a generally precarious and every-evolving  industry.
