RIDM and Forum RIDM unveil the new visual identity
of their upcoming 2025 edition

Montreal, Wednesday, July 9, 2025 - The Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM) and Forum RIDM are proud to unveil a visual identity that’s as colourful as ever for their 2025 edition, to be held this November. For a fourth year running, graphic designer Juliette Moal was chosen to design the festival’s visual identity.

"This new poster remains consistent with the graphic identity guidelines of RIDM for the past four editions – with this colour palette and its graphic references that speak to us all. This year takes us into the graphic world of the 60s/70s, with composition in the style of Montreal's iconic Expo 67. Moving away from gradients, the colours are blended together this year. It’s like playing with a set of blocks of different shapes and colours. On the poster they form the number of the edition: 28. This visual identity for 2025 comes in a variety of patterns and combinations of shapes – just as many possibilities as there are stories to tell.” - Juliette Moal

Forum RIDM entrusted graphic designer Kaïla Curcio Tremblay with the adaptation of Juliette Moal’s design for its new visual identity.

True to tradition, the Cinémathèque québécoise will once again serve as RIDM’s headquarters, offering a gathering place for festivalgoers with screenings, a variety of activities, and festive evenings.
