The Forum RIDM 20th edition, presented by the Canada Media Fund (CMF), concluded on November 27 after six days of professional activities. Rediscover this edition, defined by enriching exchanges and meaningful partnerships, through the winners of Doc Lab Montréal and Rough Cut Pitch.

As part of Doc Lab Montréal, presented by Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada, 16 prizes were awarded to Canadian and international participants:
DOC LAB MONTRÉAL FEATURE FILM PROJECTS
The Royal Photo support, valued at $2,500 in film equipment rental services, was awarded to the project Les ombres du volcan by Yann-Manuel Hernandez.
The Main Film support, which includes $2,000 in film equipment rental services, $500 in cash, and a one-year subscription to Main Film services, was awarded to the project Tehran: Good/Bad or Worse by Farnaz and Mohammadreza Jurabchian, produced by Étienne de Ricaud (Caractères Productions)
The EURODOC Special Mention, comprising mentorship consultation and a one-year membership to EURODOC, was granted to the project El Lugar y la Esperanza by Ariagna Fajardo Nuviola, produced by Julio Raúl Vega Garcés (Torrentes Filmes).
The EURODOC award , consisting of €700 in cash and a one-year EURODOC membership, was awarded to the project In the Shades of a Royal Palace by Hend Bakr, produced by Tamer Nady (Cellar Door Studio).
The CineGround support , valued at $5,000 in post-production services, was awarded to the project Nos cœurs sont noirs et secrets comme les nœuds de nos chênes by Loïc Darses.
The Rogers award of $1,000 in cash was awarded to the project Shape of Silence by Varun Trikha, produced by Margit Lillak (Tiny Desk Productions).
The Directors Guild of Canada support, valued at $1,500 in cash, was awarded to filmmaker Bruce Thomas Miller for the project Starry Night, produced by Kevin Dong (Tall Hero Films).
The Parati Films support, for translation services of the project file into French or English, was awarded to the project Mujer Partera by Valentina Ortega Backhoff, produced by Antonia Lema and Carlos Alberto Cuesy Díaz.
The DOK.fest München award was awarded to the project Nos cœurs sont noirs et secrets comme les nœuds de nos chênes by Loïc Darses, providing the opportunity to participate in the DOK.forum München in May 2025.
DOC LAB MONTRÉAL SHORT AND MEDIUM-LENGTH FILM PROJECTS
The Royal Photo support, offering a grant in the form of $2,000 worth of equipment rental services, was awarded to the project Le fil d’Ariane by Luiza Cocora.
The Vital Distribution award, valued at $500 in cash, was awarded to the project Plumage by Mingzhe Zhou, produced by Yiqian Zhang (Touchstone Productions).
The Vidéographe support, offering $500 worth of editing suite or equipment rental services along with a one-year membership, was awarded to Manuel Orhy Pirón for his project John Banks.
The SLA Location support, valued at $2,500 in film equipment rental services, was awarded by the jury to the project Havre by Mirkö Lafrenière and producer Irène Bessone (Art&Essai).
The Lussier & Khouzam support, , offering a grant valued at $1,000 in legal services, was awarded to the project Courseurs de canot by Maïlys Flamand.
The T&S Coop support, providing a grant for subtitling services valued at $500, was awarded to the project Rosie by Kellie Nadeau.
The Parati Films support, offering three production mentoring sessions, was awarded to the project In the Night Trees Grow by Stéphane Mukunzi.

ROUGH CUT PITCH
The Grandé Studios Award, valued at $7,000 in film equipment rental services, was awarded to the project Skin of the Sky by Andrea Bussmann.
The Forum RIDM AWARD of $1,000 in cash was awarded to the project On the Serbian Border by Federico Cammarata and Filippo Foscarini, produced by Stefano Centini.

Thanks to the Peter-Wintonick Travel Grant, several participants of Doc Lab Montréal residing outside of Montreal and Quebec received financial assistance made possible by: Intuitive Pictures, Invisible Hand Productions, EyeSteelFilm, Kensington Communications, Picture This Productions, John Walker Productions, Colonelle Films, Bunbury Films, Fathom Film Group and Cinema Politica.
The TaCIC- Tremplin Territoires Grant, en collaboration avec la TaCIC, FranC doc, Bande Sonimage, SPIRA and Paraloeil, , was awarded to Raphaëlle Ainsley-Vincent and Samuel Bellefleur for their documentary project Récits de maisons et de transhumance, which will receive comprehensive support throughout its various stages of creation.
