The Canada Council for the Arts | Conseil des Arts du Canada have revealed video portraits of the 2016 recipients of the Governor General's Awards in Visual and Media Arts. The winners of this prestigious award are selected by independent peer juries.
«The Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts were created in 1999 by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Governor General of Canada. Over the past 16 years, the awards have celebrated Canada’s vibrant arts community and recognized remarkable careers in the visual and media arts.»
To highlight the work and personality of this year's winners, the Canada Council for the Arts and the Independant Media Arts Alliance commissioned, for a 4th year, videon portraits of each of the recipients.
