The Soirée de la relève Radio-Canada award goes to Milikᵘ tshishutshelimunuau

Every year, the Soirée de la relève Radio-Canada is a chance to discover short documentaries from emerging filmmakers. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for audiences to appreciate the talents of the voices set to shine bright on our screens.

This year, the prize was awarded to Isabelle Kanapé for her film Milikᵘ tshishutshelimunuau (Accordez-moi votre confiance). A savvy camera captures intimate moments of a councilor candidate’s electoral campaign in this acutely constructed short film filled with positivity and gentle laughter.

The Innu filmmaker was awarded a $10 000 grant offered by Radio-Canada to support the production of a future project. Her film and those of Arnaud Beaudoux, Laurence Ly & Kayla Fragman are available for free on ICI TOU.TV until December 18, 2022.
