Doc Lab Montréal: Call for Canadian Projects

The Call for Canadian Projects is Open from Tuesday, July 16 to Monday, August 12, 2024
(Deadline: Midnight EDT )

Doc Lab Montréal, presented by Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada, returns for its 11th edition. This Forum RIDM initiative continues to support creative projects that are dear to our hearts. Over the years, the event has reinvented itself to consolidate its position as an essential opportunity for professional and creative development.

Mentored by various local and international industry professionals, Doc Lab Montréal will host  a cohort of Canadian and international filmmakers and producers with short, medium and feature length film projects in order to help them develop their creative documentary projects, artistic practices and production strategies.

For three days, selected participants will benefit from closed-circuit group work sessions. Following this mentoring, they will have the opportunity to present their projects at a pitch session for a crowd of renowned industry professionals. They will also be eligible  to win awards and gain support from Doc Lab Montréal's partners.

Participants will also have access to all of the activities offered at  the 20th edition of Forum RIDM, designed to enrich and complement the content of Doc Lab Montréal.

New for this year: Feature film projects represented by a filmmaker/producer duo will have the opportunity to take part in the One-on-One pitches

This call is open for Canadian applications only. The selection of international participants and their projects is conducted outside this call.

Selected participants must be available for the duration of Forum RIDM, from November 22 to 27, 2024.
