Montreal, July 16, 2024 - Forum RIDM’s 20th edition, presented by the Canada Media Fund (CMF), announces the opening of the call for Canadian projects for Doc Lab Montréal, a catalyst for innovative documentary projects.
This call for projects, open until August 12, 2024, is aimed at emerging Canadian filmmakers with creative documentary projects in development or in the early stages of production, of any length.
From November 22 to 27, the selected Canadian participants will join international delegations for three days of closed-circuit mentorship and exchanges. Following these sessions, participants will pitch their projects to an audience of seasoned professionals from national and international markets while competing for prizes offered by Forum RIDM’s partners.

Over the years, Doc Lab Montréal has reinvented itself and established its position as an essential opportunity for professional and creative development. The event, presented by Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada, will once again welcome a diverse group of filmmakers and producers, both local and international, to participate in this creative laboratory.

Forum RIDM, presented by the Canada Media Fund, aims to stimulate the production and distribution of independent documentaries, both nationally and internationally, by promoting the exchange of information and meetings between the various professionals in the documentary industry.
