The RIDM’s Young Audiences screenings are held every weekday during the festival.
The films shown are features from the official competition, chosen for their formal quality and thematic relevance. The screenings help teachers give their students a true festival experience, communicate the idea of a movie theatre as a place for reflection and for fostering open-mindedness about the world and its diversity, and stimulate discussion on a variety of social issues. These screenings for school groups are hosted by RIDM staff and the filmmaker or a member of the film’s crew.
