Sky Hopinka: Redefining potential territories

Lore Sky Hopinka

Over fragmented images of landscapes assembled on an overhead projector, the narration speaks of a recent past. This film inspired by Hollis Frampton’s experimental work Nostalgia, set to Bo Diddley’s “Heart-O-Matic-Love—performed in a more ethereal way by a band with Sky on bass—plays with notions of sharing traditions and knowledge. (HSB)

This film is presented as part of the retrospective Sky Hopinka : Redefining Potential Territories.
