The One-on-One Pitches, Forum RIDM’s flagship activity, fosters professional connections between documentary professionals from Canada and around the world. This day allows project holders (producers and self-producing filmmakers, and as of this edition, distributors to pitch their projects to key allies for funding and distribution, among others, in 15-minute one-on-one meetings organized in a speed dating format.
Once again, the activity relies on b.square, an interactive platform that allows to plan meetings, select participants, and track schedules in real time.
The list of industry representatives for the 2025 edition will be updated daily starting October 29, according to the following 5 categories:
- public and private broadcasters
- distributors/sales agents
- festival and market programmers
- institutes and funds
- international co-producers.
- Follow our Instagram and Facebook accounts and stay tuned!
The 2025 One-on-One Pitches will take place on November 26, 2025, from 9AM to 4:35PM, at UQAM’s Salle Polyvalente (200 Rue Sherbrooke West)

HOW IT WORKS
Once you’re on b.square, meeting requests will take place in both directions:
-
Industry representatives can request meetings with project holders.
-
Project holders can request meetings with industry representatives.
The Forum RIDM team will play an active role in the matchmaking process in order to ensure a balance between the number of meetings, the relevance of profiles, and the specific criteria of the projects. Suggestions or meeting assignments may therefore be made by Forum RIDM to maximize the quality of exchanges.
To ensure the activity runs smoothly, it is important to honour all assigned meetings. The total number of meetings may vary depending on the participants’ availability.
Once you’re registered on b.square, you’ll find the steps to follow. Read them carefully!
