Renewed collaboration between Quebec and Bavaria in 2024

Press releases

Montreal, Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 - Forum RIDM is pleased to announce the participation of a Quebec delegation at the professional market of DOK.fest München from May 1-to 5, 2024.

Launched in 2023, this partnership with DOK.forum, the professional market of the DOK.fest München documentary festival in Bavaria (Germany), aims to foster the professional and creative development of three Quebec professionals and encourage networking and cultural exchanges with accredited professionals at the market.

With the aim of strengthening co-production with the Bavarian region, producer Line Sander Egede will have the opportunity to present her projects and actively participate in discussions and pitching sessions, joined by international experts, including festival programmers, international distributors, and sales agents.

The Quebec delegation will be reinforced by the presence of the duo formed by filmmaker Widia Larivière and associate producer Frédérique Alain. They will pitch their feature film project Geeks autochtones contre-attaquent! while participating in all market activities. The latter was selected at Doc Lab Montreal 2023, winning two awards granted by the jury.

This initiative, part of the Quebec-Bavière cooperation program, is made possible thanks to financial support from the Government of Quebec.
