Following the sudden death of her father, Angelica Ruffier returns to her childhood home in the south of France. As she sorts through the belongings of a man she once knew, she finds her own teenage diaries, centering around Miss B., her history professor. Her words paint a picture of a delicate woman dressed “in silk and velvet, in red, black, and cream.” Memories, dreams and fantasies of the past mix with the present until Angelica feels the need to see this woman again. An introspective film where the past resurfaces like a dream and where grief anchors us to the present. (NBB)
