In this performance, artists Amanda Lickers and Miri Chekhanovich bring their research-creation practices into dialogue around how places, mapping and counter-mapping are carried through bodies and materials. After a screening of a short film by each artist, the evening unfolds as a live fishbowl conversation through projected images, film excerpts and online searches. Moving from satellite views to eye-level perspectives, and from territories to skins, hides and gelatin, they ask what it means to map a place not from above, but through the memories, emotions and materials that form it.
