Produced by the Neurocultures Collective (Sam Chown-Ahern, Georgia Bradburn, Benjamin Brown, Robin Elliott-Knowles, and Lucy Walker), in collaboration with artist Steven Eastwood, this film is the result of their individual aspirations and shared writing. An immersive hybrid of observational documentary and fictional elements, The Stimming Pool reveals their distinct perceptions through interweaving narratives in a captivating universe. Innovatively shot in Super 16 and featuring a carefully thought-out sound design, this feature film explores cinematographic ways of rendering sensitive and tangible their ways of being in this too-narrow and sometimes hostile world.
