Doc-to-Doc screenings are back at RIDM for a second consecutive year. Presented by Télé-Québec, these screenings are free (by reservation) and allow the audience to discover works that have influences the filmmakers in official selection this year. For this edition, three filmmakers have been invited to program a documentary at the festival:
On November 17, filmmaker Khoa Lê (Má Sài Gòn) chose to invite Diane Poitras to present her film Nuits at the Salle Fernand-Seguin of the Cinémathèque québécoise at 5:30 p.m.
On November 22, Nour Ouayda (The Secret Garden) will host Malena Szlam to discuss her short films Lunar Almanac, Altiplano and Merapi all of which will be screened in a program starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Salle Crave of the Cinémathèque québécoise.
Finally, on November 24, Julien Elie (La garde blanche) will engage in conversation with Matías Meyer about the work of the late Eugenio Polgovsky, Resurrection, also at the Salle Fernand-Seguin from 5:45 p.m.
Screenings will be followed by a discussion session with the guests. Tickets are available through the film's pages on the website.
