Everything Else Is Noise Nicolás Pereda

The filming for an interview on the careers and creative processes of three cellist-composers from three generations is disrupted by technical negligence, on-going outside noise and the vagaries of life that encroach on it all. In this humorous fictional work, full of irony and derision, Nicolás Pereda plays with the mechanisms and methods of telling real stories while juggling biographical elements invented entirely for the camera, prompts to “change your story,” disillusionment, everyday sexism and truths that were never meant to be told. The filmmaker reunites with his favourite performers (who are part of the same documentary theatre company) and continues to explore writing and sound spatialization in cinema, incorporating rehearsals and musical works, excessive noise, car horns: in short, creating a renewed feeling of listening.
