In this rare Quebec animated documentary, filmmaker Justice Rutikara takes us back to the tragic horrors of the Rwandan genocide, 30 years later. Barely six months old at the time, he recounts his family's story through the painful testimonies of his parents, who tried to flee the massacres ravaging their country. Between uncertainty, omnipresent fear, moral dilemmas, and brief glimmers of hope, this poetic short film, both very harsh and very tender, presents a new way of describing the unimaginable while paying tribute to the determination and courage shown by Justice's parents, those who helped them, and the hundreds of thousands of victims to whom this film is humbly dedicated.
