The hasty and erratic movement of a digital camera traces the outlines of a crowd in the street: close-ups of the colours of the Palestinian flag, the patterns of keffiyehs, blood spilled on the ground. These images come from a video captured by filmmaker Nada El-Omari's father over 20 years ago, during the Second Intifada. Revisiting the archives, Nada El-Omari ponders what it means to hold such an archive, while still having to fight to be believed. Through the reshaping of these images, a dialogue emerges between the past and the present, between the witness and the bearer of a legacy of resistance and the persistent pain of a people victimized by a genocidal occupation. Sometimes fragmented, sometimes suspended, these tragically familiar images, interspersed with reflections on their significance, remind us of the silent resilience of images in a world where the truth no longer seems enough to shake indifference.
