In this melancholy tale, a family of Mongolian goatherds is forced to make a difficult decision, becoming a universal symbol of the contemporary migration to urban areas in the face of the insensitive immensity of climate change. Gabrielle Brady's drama blends a documentary approach that highlights her subjects' touching and intimate relationship with their animals and nature. In a script written by the pair of protagonists, they play themselves and reconstruct the heartbreaking journey they were forced to take. This blend of approaches creates a sincere emotional reality against the backdrop of a desert both beautiful and arid. Faced with a society increasingly disconnected from its environment, viewers find themselves torn between dreams and worries. (OM)
