Totem

Venturing into the heart of the Mexican jungle in search of relics of the past, of cultures and civilizations lost over the centuries, also brings us back to a desolate present, where many questions hang in the air, most of them unanswered, and which seem to lead us straight down a blind alley. The journey also takes us back to our constant search for those who have disappeared. Totem is a narrative, anthropological and archaeological exploration of a reality marked by the normalization of violence and repression, and of the deep pain that inhabits Mexican and Latin American societies.
