The filmmaker uses voice-over readings of her diary entries with the magnetic resonance images of her cervical slices to immerse us in her mind and in her cinematic act of owning her illness. Flickering effects express the blinding nature of the sudden appearance of multiple sclerosis in Tempea's life. At the same time, experiments bring medical images closer to abstraction and incomprehension in the face of a new diagnosis, while etching the disease on body and film. This short film conveys the violence of chronic pain, which becomes familiar as it is tamed, in a way similar to her apartment, her plants, and her cat. (SCV)
