The telephone calls of listeners to a popular program on romantic relationships echo over the majestic and imposing Nepalese mountains. In the absence of star host Prem, himself shaken by heartbreak, listeners leave messages filled with pain, remorse, and love dilemmas. Imprisoned by narrow social conventions, seeking answers and advice, these feverish, lost voices try to clear a path to the top and overcome the insurmountable. (MB)
