Composed mainly of institutional and personal archives, this short film revisits the history of a dual holiday resort that embodied racial segregation in the United States. Silver Springs was located in Florida along the river bearing the same name. It was reserved for white people, while Paradise Park welcomed Black people until it closed in 1969. Through the testimonies of those who worked there or frequented the resort, this lyrical work—rich in aesthetic explorations—forges a thoughtful dialogue between the past and the present, reminding us that the end of segregation is also part of a process of cultural and social assimilation.
